Some of the stuff found here: furniture, kids playground plastic toys, blades and brackets for fans, doors, antique baby carriages and rocking horses, plumbing and electrical odds and ends, wheelchair and walker, grandfather clocks, hardrives, big screen TVs, card tables, small pet carriers, vintage books, bowling balls. A great afternoon, dressing rooms and bargain bins. Men's section too.
This place used to be a good thrift store. Now, they have these items priced the same as something brand spank new. That is crazy!
If you are a bargain shopper like me you will get lost in this store!! There is so much to see and very reasonable price. The only thing I disliked was the sun staring me in the face as I checked out and how warm it was in the store
One of the true monoliths of the local thrift scene, the DAV Thrift Store has anchored the corner of Rock Island and Story Road in west Irving for 30+ years. Long-lived for a reason, this low-key store is a multi-layered adventure, with clothing, linens, glassware, etc. inside the main building,; furniture, fixtures, electronics, golf clubs, LP's, etc. in the rear building; and an ever-changing selection of randomness in the fenced-in outside area. The traditional revolving colored-tag weekly specials can lead to the occasional legit score.
They at least have a restroom. But overall, I give it one star. I'm not going back.
