i love the ambience.. peaceful and quiet. the librarians are always nice.. i come here alot to write!! and its down the street from my house!!
I simply could not believe how welcoming this place was. The staff really went above and beyond to assist. I don't live in Irving, but they were eager to show me how to use my TexShare card to get an Irving Public Library card and manage my account online, etc. etc. The building is splendidly new with great architecture, and they have an amazing selection of materials. Highly recommended!
Every single time I come here I have issues. Every. Single. Time. Not only do half the employees have no clue how to do their job, they are always asking for more proof of who I am. I've had a card with the City of Irving for over 15 years but I have to prove myself with an ID and a bill at their whim.
My Husband and I both love this library. Great staffs as well as great environment. They have few little kids sections, in which my little toddler loves to go. She gets great opportunity to learn and explore new things..
Never heard of this place before this stay. Heard they had over 50 original Norman Rockwell paintings so gave it a shot. I have two grown boys neither Boy Scouts, so wondering how much I would enjoy it. This is a very large building. It is set up very well. There is an art section which does display more than 30 Boy Scout themes paintings. There is a history of the scouts section nicely displayed. The other half is an interactive section that is great for the kids. They even give you 2 free tokens to use in the laser gun arcade section. Nice place. Fabulous. If you have boy scouts, good if you have kids. Free on Sundays.
